- Can I ignore indentation changes?
- Yes. Turn on Ignore whitespace and lines that only differ in spacing or indentation aren't marked as changes. Ignore blank lines skips added or removed empty lines.
- How do I get a patch file?
- Click Download .diff. It's a standard unified diff, the format git and patch use. It includes every change, even ones hidden by the ignore options.
- Which languages does it support?
- Any text: JavaScript, Python, Java, C#, PHP, SQL, HTML, CSS, config files, logs, and more. Files are read as UTF-8 (or UTF-16 with a byte-order mark).
- Is my code uploaded?
- No. The comparison runs in your browser, so private or proprietary code never leaves your computer. That's the main reason this tool exists.
